Hello, my name is Alice, and I am the co-founder of BeAli Home Care, LLC. BeAli has been providing
home health aide services to the Triangle area since 2020 but my personal experience in home health
care dates back more than thirty years. I was born and raised in a small town in Kenya, where I
lived next door to my grandmother. As a young girl, I learned about my affinity for helping the
elderly enjoy their quality of living as they age gracefully by being one of my grandmothers'
primary helpers.
My husband and I moved to the U.S. almost forty years ago, where we've raised our three children and
have made a home here in North Carolina. I began working as a Nurse's assistant shortly after
getting acclimated to living in the states. Aside from assuring that I have all the necessary
certifications in order to provide the appropriate care, I've learned that my clients have all lived
wonderful, full lives and I get the gift of learning their stories as I care for them and their
families.
I have had many opportunities here in North Carolina, including working at both N.C. State and UNC
Chapel Hill as a Grants Processor for a combined total of 17 years. In 2018, I had my first of two
knee replacements and got to see first-hand what it was like to be on the other side of caregiving.
I learned a few things: how to depend on the kindness of others, and that sitting at a desk for
eight hours a day during surgical recovery was not good for me. This created an opportunity to
transition back into home health care just before the start of the COVID pandemic when the need for
caregivers was at an all-time high. Everything aligned for myself and my co-founder, Beth Kivuti, to
launch BeAli and the rest is history. Our mission is to provide compassionate home care for your
loved ones, and to give you peace of mind. We are glad to say we have been successful in this quest
and are looking forward to continuing along this path.
